Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day is featuring a set of script dies
Hip Hip Hooray.

 The approximate measurements are:

Hip Hip: 4.00 x 1.50 in
Hooray: 4.00 x 2.00 in
For: 1.75 x 1.20 in
You: 2.15 x 1.65 in

This is how they look cut/embossed.

My card is created from an ivory base and A2 Matting Basics A.
The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye - Howdy Doody.

Affixed in place and a strip of gold mirror card placed horizontally.

I also used mirror card to die cut the 'hip hip hooray'.
Adhered in place at a jaunty angle!

It was then just a case of positioning three die cut flowers and re-cutting
the 'i' a few times to use the dots as flower centres.

The dies are available now from your Spellbinders retailer.

Wishing you all a great Friday and a brilliant weekend.

Take care friends.

Stack and Fan Flowers and Chair!

Hello friends

Totally a little thank you gift card featuring the very lovely
Stack and Fan Flowers.

I like to use both die designs in this set, patterned paper for the scalloped edge
dies and plain ivory card for the straight edge.
Adore the leaves that are included too.

I'm having a bit of a slower week this week and catching up with
jobs at home, gardening too. Some of you may recall my battered wicker chair -
I was training a clematis to grow over/around it.
There has been progress!
From this...

To this...

I'm happy because my fingers are definitely not green!

Take care friends.

I'll Never Leaf You!

Hello friends

I had a lovely time in Skipton on Saturday,
my first trip to Yorkshire and I was blown away by the
beautiful scenery.  The weather wasn't particularly kind but it didn't detract
from the views - breathtaking.

It was a long drive but definitely worth it.
Great time at the demo and thank you to all the ladies that came along.

Today a card featuring some new foliage dies - I'll Never Leaf You!

I've used the three leaf one on my card design and also
used Flower Play with the coordinating stamps.

If you are like me and favour flowers you can't go wrong with foliage dies.

Take care friends, I'm back very soon.

Home Sweet Home

Hello friends

Totally a card with lots of matting and embossing.
Created my matting with Pierced Rectangles and A2 Matting Basics A and B.
The embossing is the Splendid folder and using the technique I featured
here, this retains that nice crisp embossed edge.

I didn't want to overpower the card so went with Home Sweet Home
and Pretty Petals C for decoration.

Hope your weekend is going well, I'm driving back from Skipton today
so this post is being trusted to scheduled posting...fingers crossed!

Take care friends, have a great Sunday.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week featuring a stamp and die set called Simply Me.

It features two tag dies, foliage, flowers and very pretty scripted stamps.
The approximate measurements:

Tag 1 Die: 1.90 x 2.60 in and Tag 2 Die: 2.00 x 2.70 in
Go In Style Stamp: 0.80 x 1.40 in and Shake It Off Stamp: 1.20 x 1.40 in
Wild and Free Stamp: 1.00 x 1.70 in and Live Boldly Stamp: 0.90 x 1.50 in
Get It Girl Stamp: 1.30 x 1.3

This is how the dies look cut/embossed.

For my card I've also selected Standard Circles LG and
Classics Scalloped Circles LG.
Die cutting with the scalloped first and then inserting the standard to create
the scalloped ring.

The elements for my card.

Using A2 Mating Basics for my base and layering.

Positioning the scalloped circle.

Adding the tag cut from textured kraft card and stamped circle.

Finishing touches the foliage, flowers and berries.

This die set is available to buy from your Spellbinders stockist now.
Also don't forget to check all the other stamp and die sets.

This weekend I'm going up to North Yorkshire!
I will be at Samuel Taylors - Embsay Mill near Skipton,
demoing Spellbinders from 10am.
It's a bit of a drive so I will be up around 4am to head off!

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend, hope the sunshine returns!

Take care friends.

Pillow Boxes with Blooms One

Hello friends

Tuesday already...only feels like a minute ago it was the weekend.
Today quick and simple gift/favour boxes using a couple
of my favourite dies - Pillow Box (Contour Steel Rule)
and Blooms One.

The tags are Shortie Tabs from Spellbinders.
These are very very useful, so many different designs
and just the right sizes too.

The sentiment stamps are Paula Pascual.

These pillow boxes are perfect for small gifts e.g. jewellery and don't forget
for a last minute gift you can pop a scratch card or lottery ticket inside.

Take care friends.

The International Ambassadors are Blog Hopping

Hello friends

Some of the Spellbinders International Ambassadors are having an

informal blog hop and this time we have chosen as our theme...
Spellbinders Em-Bossing Fold'ers
Often forgotten with the choice of many dies
but they are so useful and can also be combined with dies.

The folder I have chosen is Cabbage Rose.
First of all, one of my favourite uses for folders is decorating envelopes,
here I've placed it through the Platinum to just emboss the envelope flap.

Adds a really special finishing touch.

Next, how about using your folder with a die and die cut...
using 6 x 6 Matting Basics I've first of all cut.
To emboss I've opened the folder, placed the die and die cut -
cutting edge upwards (that's important).

The sandwich I've discovered works well, is folder open, tan mat and one cutting plate.

This gives you the beautiful embossed detail but with the crisp edge of the die.

Further matting with 6 x 6 Matting Basics and a typed and die cut sentiment.

To decorate - Marisa's Bouquet (one leaf is from Romantic Blooms One).

Some close up pics.

The card with coordinating envelope.

For more  inspirational projects please hop along to my fellow
Ambassadors' blogs -  have fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
We will be back with more!
