Advent Frame Kit

Hello friends

So it's that time ....
the reveal of this year's Advent Frame design.

Dad has been busy in his workshop making the frames and Mum and I
have been preparing all the die cuts.

This year's kit is a fresh contemporary design using
Simple Stories - December Documented papers and the box bases are
rather luxurious ivory pearlised cardstock - 300gsm so sturdy stuff!

With every kit you receive the following:

25 pre-cut box bases
25 pre-cut box lids
25 coordinating label shapes
Advent Numbers - 1-25
Wooden frame
Full instructions

The frames can be painted, stained, varnished, left natural,
apply distress inks - so many options!

The boxes are the perfect size for treats,
chocolates etc - not £20 notes as my boys suggest every year!
Although I do like the idea of putting a lottery ticket in box number 25.

This year's Advent Frame is available on the website here.

Take care friends.

Christmas Card Wallet

Hello friends

Sharing with you today a project I did recently for a workshop at
Crafty Interiors up in Stoke, it is a wallet/folder than can contain
cards, notes etc.

My design is very similar to the Charity Kit just announced,
I think I'm rather taken with that Reindeer and those mini Poinsettias!
I created a frame with Labels Forty Nine (lovely shape that one)
mounted it up with 3D Foam Squares and added my die cuts.
Celebrate sentiment is from Phrase Set Two.

Here's a little peek at the inside - I will be sharing those cards a little later :)

To create one of these wallets with pockets I've got a step by step
tutorial here - all the measurements, details etc.

I hope your week has started well,
any of you crafting?

Take care friends.

The International Ambassadors are blog hopping...

Hello friends

The Spellbinders International Ambassadors are having an informal blog hop again
and this time we have chosen to use dies from the

Woodland Collection.

We have been having so much fun with these blog hops and delighted at
how many of you visit, play along and leave such lovely comments.

For my project I've chosen to use Wreath.

My cards have been created entirely from white card,
all colour is from distress inks.
A clean and simple design by cutting the middle size
wreath circle and adding the little sprays and tiny flowers.
(Those tiny flowers are likely to pop up all over the place me thinks -
very handy size!)

A die that works for all seasons.
These remind me of Spring/Summer hair crowns/loops.
But could also look so good with festive colours.
Oh yes - my fav stamp set Scripty Sayings also used!

Wreath is available on the website here.
Also please check out the other Woodland dies - rather lovely!

For more Woodland inspirational projects please hop along to my fellow
Ambassadors' blogs -  have fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

We will be back with more!

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This Friday Die Day I'm featuring Pinecones.

This is a two piece die set and the approximate sizes are:

 Pinecone Large: 2.05 x 2.05 inches
Pinecone Small: 1.55 x 1.55 inches

This is how they look cut/embossed.

I've chosen to use the pokey tool end of my Tool n' One,
starting at the outer edge rolling them - a little like Spiral and Bitty Blossoms.
An aerial view of rolling!
Rolled and about to be stuck to the base.
I then chose to spritz them lightly with some bronze glimmer mist.
My card base, some scrap patterned paper,
berries from Stylized Flowers and a stamped sentiment.
My pinecones now added - it is possible to stretch these out more for
longer cones if you wish - I quite liked the cute diddy ones!
Added my favourite leaves of the moment!
Finished...
Some close up pics.
Hoping to add these little pinecones to a festive wreath project I keep
thinking about - let's hope I get to that before Christmas!

Pinecones are available on the website here
and those Stylized Flowers with gorgeous leaves can be found here.

This weekend I am going to be at The Artistic Stamper in Faversham,
it's my mini tree workshop and I've heard it is sold out so that's
wonderful news.

Also Faversham is not too far away from me - makes a change to
be quite local - I may even have a roast dinner on Sunday!

Take care friends.

you'll need them I can assure you because as you read about the chocolate
you definitely crave it!

Thank you to all those who created wrappers and sent along your images,
you are all stars for taking part.

The Fallen Leaf!

Hello friends

The return of the fallen leaf!
I knew I would want to use that again,
it's the little things you know...
Today's tag coordinates with yesterday's and features Acorns,
again from the Woodland Collection.

I added in the berries and flower from Stylized Flower die set
and that's also where those lovely little leaves come from.

Now do you like the colouring of the acorns?
I cannot take any credit for those - Nick from Chameleon Pens was
also sharing the stand with me at the NEC and he coloured them!
Credit where credit is due.

I think I'm now working my way through this Woodland Collection
but I'm finding it tough to find a favourite,
I initially thought it would definitely be the Deer but now I'm torn.

I'm not sure I can hold off Christmas projects much longer...
just a little prior warning friends!

Take care and what are you up to today?  Crafting?
