Little Black Number!

Hello friends

Today featuring two dies from Spellbinders Renaissance Collection -
Naples Medallion
 and Labels 46

Perhaps black isn't always the first colour choice in craft but by adding the
contrast of white and bright flowers it certainly brightens it up!
I die cut two of the largest dies from the Naples Medallion to create an
opening card.

Both these dies are available to purchase from your Spellbinders retailer,
the Renaissance collection is stunning - I just cannot decide which
one is my favourite - keep changing my mind!

Take care friends.

Roman Trellis with a contemporary twist

Hello friends

Today it's Roman Trellis.
A two piece die set from the Renaissance collection.

I've chosen to give it a contemporary twist by reinserting fallout pieces
in different colours.
Takes a little longer but I think worth it!

You can use this technique with many dies and there's no need to fill
every space, just pick out the shapes you like the most.
Also...I know I say it often...a good way to use up those scraps!

Huge thanks to those who have purchased this month's charity kit -
down to the last couple!
They've all been posted out so should be with you in the next day or two.

Back in a bit...definitely going to tackle that garden..soon!

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week I'm featuring Venetian Gatefold, another beautiful die
designed by Stacey Caron from her Renaissance Collection.

There are two dies in the set.

The approximate measurement of each die is:
Panels: 2.10 x 5.50 in

This is how they look cut/embossed.
You will notice that if you align each die side by side
it enables you to cut a frame to fold - create 'gates/doors'.

I've chosen to patterned paper to place behind.

Secured a ribbon band - this can slide off to open up the gates.

Final touch - flower and tag - the flower and leaves is created from
Flower Play.

Venetian Gatefold is available to purchase from your Spellbinders retailer now,
I can see it being a really useful die for invitations etc.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend, I think it's going to be sunny!

Take care friends.

Jubilee Tags

Hello friends

Today sharing a card that I featured on Create and Craft.
It details a very simple technique where you inset the die cut.
I've chosen to use Jubilee Tags from the Renaissance Collection.
This is a set of three tags.

Very handy that you also have the shaped dies for the middles of the tags.

Very easy, use the die on the patterned paper first to create the aperture,
raise that up with foam tape.

Die cut the tag with gold foil card and inset into the aperture.
Works with lots of dies but thought this Jubilee Tag looked very special.
Teamed it with Blooms One for a dash of red!

Take care friends - enjoy your Sunday.
