It's all white!

Hello friends

Thank you for all the lovely comments yesterday,
these 3D stamps are lovely and I'm getting a bit of a stamping bug!
Today's card features the Wreath stamp,
I adore the little pinecones on this one.

I stamped onto ultra white card and lightly coloured with Chameleon pens.
It was fast to do - it did not need a great deal of colour,
just slightly tipped areas and over some shading.

The sentiment is also a Spellbinders stamp.
Mounted the stamped design onto a mat and card base
created with 6 x 6 Matting Basics.

3D stamps are available to purchase from your Spellbinders
retailer now - I would be quick though, I hear they are selling fast!

Today I'm leaving my cabin to venture to the cinema,
off to see 'Fantastic Beasts' - I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter
and this film is a prequel - excited to immerse myself into a fantasy world for a while.

Take care friends and keep warm, dig out those scarves and mittens!

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week Friday Die Day has become Friday 3D Stamp Day!
I wanted to show you a project using Pine Trees.
This is a striking stamp and the approximate
stamp size is 2.75" x 4".

The stamps cling perfectly to an acrylic block.
Tip: first time you use them to help prepare the surface of the stamp
so it doesn't repell the ink, lightly sand with very fine sandpaper.
After that, you never have to do it again (more details in the video below).

For my background I die cut a piece of watercolour card using 5 x 7 Matting Basics.
I chose Antique Linen distress ink, dipped a paintbrush in water first and then
added ink in a swiping/wash design.

I then inked up the 3D Pine Trees stamp with Momento Rich Cocoa
and stamped once.
Affixed twine with a bow to the left hand edge.

My card base with Anna Griffin paper.
Typed and die cut sentiment to bottom edge of card.

Affixed stamped panel with Crafty Foam Tape.

Finishing touch, mini poinsettia (5 x 7 Holly Frame set) and tiny leaves.

For more details and inspiration here is the Spellbinders 3D stamp video.

The 3D stamps are now available to purchase from your Spellbinders retailer,
it certainly makes Christmas card making quick and easy!

Take care friends - have a super weekend.

Happy Heart

Hello friends

Today sharing with you a Happy Heart card - something different from me.
This is using one of the Spellbinders 3D stamps and I adore this image.
Reminds me of fairies and magic.

I used Chameleon pens to colour, again something different and new for me.

Mounted on white card mats using 6 x 6 Matting Basics A and B
to create a nice crisp background.

Massively impressed with these stamps, I'm not a stamper but found them
really easy to use with brilliant results.
Happy Heart is available to purchase from your Spellbinders retailer
along with the other new 3D stamps.

Take care friends and please stop by tomorrow for
Friday Die Day.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho off to Hobbycraft I go!

Hello friends

Due to the very exciting news about the book publication next month there is
going to be some events where I'll be out and about.
I've updated my sidebar with a new page for #Paperhearts and I'll
also be using that as a place to list forthcoming events.

One of the first reader events is going to be taking place at Hobbycraft in Milton Keynes
on Saturday 10 December - 2pm - 4pm.
Carole and I will be book signing and demonstrating chocolate wrappers
so if you live that way please come along.

Just in case you missed the book details I'm unashamedly sharing them again ;)

Christie Chapman is a single working mother who spends her days
commuting to her secretarial job in London and looking after
her teenage son, Finn.  It can be tough just getting through the day
but Christie has always found comfort in her love of crafting
and any spare time she has is spent in her parents'
summerhouse working on her beautiful creations.
From intricately designed birthday cards to personalised gifts,
Christie's flair for the handmade knows no bounds and it's not
long before opportunity comes knocking.
All of a sudden Christie sees a different future for her and Finn -
one full of hope and possibility, and if the handsome
Max Alexander is to be believed, one full of love too.
It's all there for the taking.
And then, all of sudden, Christie's world is turned upside down.
Christie knows that something has to give, but what will she choose?
Will she give up her dreams and the chance of real love?
What price will she pay for doing the right thing?
Can Christie find her happy ending in...Paper Hearts and Summer Kisses

Before this event Carole and I will be on Radio Milton Keynes - Sunday teatime,
more details to follow and I'll definitely be posting on Facebook.
Never done radio before...could be interesting!

If you would like to pre-order the e-book and/or hardback
please click here for the Amazon link and details.

Thank you friends - this is all very exciting and completely surreal!

The International Ambassadors are Blog Hopping

Hello friends

Some of the Spellbinders International Ambassadors are having an

informal blog hop and again this month we have chosen
Christmas as our theme but not a card!
I decided on a tag mainly because I love tags but they
are very useful at Christmas.
The die set I selected - Flakes N Skates.

It is a four piece Die D-Lite set, the ice skating boot and three snowflakes.

I covered my tag with festive snowflake paper from my scrap box.
Trimmed the top corners and punched a hole for the ribbon/twine.

Added a strip of striped paper and a typed and die cut sentiment.

I then used Pierced Circles and Classic Circles LG to create a
base for my ice skating boot.

Cut the boot twice from white card, tied twine with a bow around the top one.

The finished tag with the addition of one of the snowflakes
and a mini poinsettia - love these.
Yes it was a windy day when I photographed it!

Flakes N Skates is available from your Spellbinders
retailer to purchase.

For more  inspirational projects please hop along to my fellow
Ambassadors' blogs -  have fun!

Christine Emberson (You are here)

Thanks so much for stopping by.
We will be back with more!
