Thank You with Sapphire

Hello friends

Today's card is one from a while back when I was doing shows using the
dies that come with the Sapphire machine, Set A.
It is two tags placed vertically with a strip of paper acting
as ribbon to thread through.
It wasn't intentionally festive but I think the colours work
as a Christmas thank you card.

Those little leaves are from Homespun - I don't think I could live without
that little leaf die...ok perhaps a slight exaggeration!

It's nice to be home but I've still got gift wrapping to do...
I think I'm being too precise!

Take care friends and hope you have a great Saturday.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This is a first - a FDD completely prepared in a hotel room!
Apologies if the photos are not up to scratch, it was foggy
the whole time I was in Peterborough and daylight was sparse,
relied on little lamps in the room.

I'm featuring Tammy Tutterow's Shortie Tabs this week and
incorporated them into a Christmas card.

Each tab measures approximately 3 inches x 0.75 inches,
ideal for lots of projects.
This is how they look cut/embossed - 8 dies in total.

I selected four of the designs and cut them in half.

Prepared an ivory card base with some patterned festive paper.

Positioned the four tabs at the corner to create bunting.

Added a wooden snowflake (available from Sainsburys - parcel toppers)
and mini poinsettias.

Sentiment is typed and die cut.  Close up of the bunting.

Shortie Tabs is available from your Spellbinders retailer along
with lots of gorgeous Tammy Tutterow dies - check out the envelopes,
they are very cute.

I'm back home after the Create and Craft 4 day Sapphire deal,
lots of shows and lots of fun.
Yesterday was publication day for Paperhearts and Summer Kisses
and I shared the news with Andy Love and he kindly mentioned it on the show!

I have a weekend to really get cracking on Christmas,
quite a few gifts have arrived - thank you Amazon and I'm now delving into the
wrapping...wish me luck everyone!

Take care friends.

The International Ambassadors are blog hopping

Hello friends

Some of the Spellbinders International Ambassadors are having an
informal blog hop and this time we have chosen to revisit our
most favourite hop project.
I really had a problem deciding which one I liked the most,
I finally settled on the Astoria line from Stacey Caron's
Art Deco collection of dies.

I was instantly drawn to the Astoria design, it's clean lines and I've used a
combination of Astoria Labels and Astoria Decorative Elements
for my predominantly white card.

To achieve the silver shadow I die cut a piece of glitter card
using Astoria Decorative Element die #2.
Sliced this in half horizontally, inserted it behind my white die cut,
slightly offset to create a shadow top and bottom.

I stamped the smallest die cut with 'Forever Grateful', inserted silver
ribbon and added some silk flowers.

I think it's pretty much 'all-white'!

For more favourite projects please hop along to my fellow
Ambassadors' blogs -  have fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Victorian Sapphire and Silver

Hello friends

Hoping you have caught some of my shows on Create and Craft,
they haven't quite stuck to schedule so apologies if you tuned in
and I wasn't there!   Live TV is always subject to change.

I'm quite settled in my hotel room, bought a mini poinsettia (a real one)
to make it a little more festive, didn't feel I could quite stretch to a full tree!

I'm featuring one of my demo cards today using the Victorian Sapphire dies,
I adore this tag design, I've die cut two and crossed them.
Adding a circular sentiment to the middle is a nice finishing touch.

The dies are available to purchase individually although limited stock
or a variety of bundles.  The Sapphire machine is a great price if you
are a club member so good to take a look at that.

I'll be sure to share some further demo projects with you,
not just cards - I'm hoping I get to show you a special jar I'm preparing
with lights inside.  Anyone know where I can buy extra hours in the day?

Take care friends and hope you are having a great week.

Bold and Bright

Hello friends

Well if it's not a mini poinsettia it's a butterfly!
Today's card is one again using the Sapphire Set A dies,
the square, circle and butterfly - all three simply layered.
I also seem to have a penchant for kraft card at the moment too!

The bright paper (not at all Christmassy) is a scrap box find,
did I mention the size of my scrap box...it would take years to get through
but I'm doing my best.

I also like the idea of stamping a sentiment across the butterfly,
this is from an Altenew stamp set - love their sentiments and fonts.

Watch out more Sapphire projects winging their way to you...
plus hoping you are catching some of the Sapphire shows -
the new Victorian dies, they are lovely!

Take care friends.

Demoing, book signing and scoffing chocolate

Hello friends

Yes, my blog post title is the perfect description for yesterday's events!
I had a lovely time at Hobbycraft in Milton Keynes
with Carole Matthews.  Thank you to those who came along,
met some craft newbies who I think I convinced fairly quickly that
paper crafting is the absolute best!

Oh yes this chap came along too!

I demoed some chocolate wrappers which as you probably know
is a great favourite of mine for obvious reasons!

Here's one that Carole made...you may see it is NOT a Spellbinders die...
we had words about that! ;)

Today back to my cabin for last minute preparations for the shows
starting tomorrow - first one 8am!
It's the new Victorian Sapphire dies, a gorgeous range,
here's a sneak peek of one of my cards.

Hope you can join me - here are my show times:

Monday - 8am, 3pm, 9pm
Tuesday - Midday, 5pm, 9pm
Wednesday - 8am, 6pm
Thursday - 3pm

I'm returning home Thursday evening - haven't told Bella yet!

Take care friends, have a lovely Sunday.
