Market Fresh and a 'Deer' Little Gift

Hello friends

I'm back home from Peterborough and heading to my city job today!
I had such a nice time with Debi Adams from Spellbinders,
she was launching her own Spellbinders design line on Create and Craft
called Market Fresh - the dies are so clever as each one
could have multiple uses and Debi's projects are adorable.
I got to spend time with Debi and talk craft - it's a tough job you know! ;)

Here's a video of Debi at CHA earlier this year showcasing Market Fresh.

My crafty project offering for today appeared on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
blog here yesterday.  It is a little gift package that has bath salts inside.

The full step by step tutorial can be found here and I truly appreciate it
if you have time to leave a comment on their blog.
Isn't the paper I used lovely?!

Take care friends and please stop by tomorrow for Friday Die Day.

Venetian Versatility!

Hello friends

Today I'm revisiting Venetian Gatefold, another beautiful die
designed by Stacey Caron from her Renaissance Collection.

There are two dies in the set.

The approximate measurement of each die is:
Panels: 2.10 x 5.50 in

This is how they look cut/embossed.
You will notice that if you align each die side by side
it enables you to cut a frame to fold - create 'gates/doors'.

I've chosen to patterned paper to place behind.

Secured a ribbon band - this can slide off to open up the gates.

Final touch - flower and tag - the flower and leaves is created from

It is also possible to use this die to create a tea light holder
(battery one please), just by creating four panels.

Venetian Gatefold is available on the website here along with
other beautiful designs by Stacey Caron for Spellbinders here.

You may have caught some photos on Facebook as to where
I went yesterday - Create and Craft studios in Peterborough
to welcome Debi Adams, a fantastic die designer for Spellbinders.
We are spending some time together and you can
catch her shows today at 11am, 3pm and 5pm.
Her collection Market Fresh is adorable.

Take care friends.

Trapezoid Trellis

Hello friends

Today's card is revisiting one of the Kaleidoscope dies -
I like this design, it certainly said 'garden trellis' to me.

I created a square aperture in my card front.
Die cut Sprigs and threaded it through various parts of the Trapezoid die cut.
Added in some bright flowers and gemstones.

Inside the card I placed a die cut square of white card to create the backing.
Stamped and die cut sentiment to finish.

Trapezoid Motif is available as pre-loved on the website here,
again bargain price along with other Kaleidoscope dies.

I'm driving off to somewhere today...more news to follow :)

Take care friends.

Marvelous Majestic Oval

Hello friends

I haven't quite sorted the cabin but got as far as finding a
box with lots of projects inside.
I thought I would revisit some of my favourites
and today it is Majestic Oval.
Here is a sort of Friday Die Day on a Monday -
not confusing at all!

This die set comprises of three dies and the approximate measurements are:

1: 2⅜ x 1⅜”
2: 3⅜ x 2⅜”
3: 4⅛ x 5⅜”

This is how it looks cut/embossed.

I chose to use die templates 2 and 3, stamped 'Thinking of You' on the smaller one.
My card base is white card, patterned paper (scrap box) and rounded the corners.
The flowers are Marisa's Bouquet.

Assembled my flowers and mounted the oval with 3D Foam Squares.

The finished card - I kept it fairly neutral.
I like to do this with more intricate dies so it doesn't detract from their beauty.
Pearls to the flower centres, always makes them pop.

Close up pics.

and can also be found here - a nice reduced price for today.

How is your Easter weekend going? We indulged in a lovely dinner
last night with family, feeling the affects a little today hence the later blog post!
A lazy Monday I think :)

Take care friends.

Easter Greetings

Hello friends

A post to wish you all a very happy Easter Sunday.

There will be chocolate in the Emberson household today
and that leads me to sharing a chocolate wrapper.
I've covered a Thorntons chocolate bar and used Scalloped Ovals and
Marisa's Bouquet dies.

The sentiment is typed and die cut.

Can't beat a wrapper!

Take care friends, I hope you can all spend your day doing what you love.
I'm heading to the cabin for a little bit of craft
and then a family dinner - lovely.

Christmas at Easter!

Hello friends

Yes a little bit strange to have a festive project at Easter
but I thought I would share a design that shows one of Becca's
border dies.  My pillow box project uses Graceful Scallops.
I've used just one of the border dies in the set (there's actually 4 designs).
They are all beautiful.

A poinsettia adorns the project, now didn't think I'd be mentioning
those in April!

Graceful Scallops is available as pre-loved on the website here.

Didn't quite get around to clearing the cabin yesterday so it is still
on the 'to do' list.  You never know it may happen today!

Wishing you all a great Saturday.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

It's Good Friday Die Day!
I've gone with a spring theme as opposed to Easter.
My featured die this week is Frayed Posies.
A two piece die set, the approximate measurements are:

Flower Small: 2.55 x 2.55 in
Flower Large: 3.00 x 2.85 in

This is how they look cut/embossed.

My card uses the largest Frayed Posie as an aperture.
Positioned centrally on card front.

I then used a piece of gift wrap - not any ol' gift wrap, this is gift wrap
that matches the book cover of Paperhearts and Summer Kisses.
Whoever has the lucky number from this month's charity
kit will receive this gift wrap.
Still not too late - a few kits left here.

Affixed into place inside the card and die cut a square to place over the top to
keep it all neat and tidy.

The finished card.

And another one using some pale green patterned paper in the aperture.

And here's the product image - shows the die being used with card and vellum.
Frayed Posies is available new and pre-loved on the website here.

Wishing you all a happy Easter,
I'm hoping to have a sort out in the cabin if the weather is kind.

Take care friends.
