A Trio of Tags

Hello friends

Today's projects have been created for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Being on their design team we are encouraged to find numerous

ways to use their products and as I sat at my craft desk I happened

to notice that Photo Corners look just like little houses!

Positioning them behind a curve of cardstock (snow) and keeping them

monochrome made it very simple, speedy tags.

The tree and star die cuts are from Christmas Tags,

one of Spellbinders die sets from last year.

Brhh - it's a chilly one!

Hello friends

 

Brhhh it's a chilly card today!

This is Tree and Winter Canopy.

 

The seasonal canopies designed by Lene Lok are delightful but I do admit

the winter one is my favourite, it could have something to do with the reindeer.

 

My card has silver and white mats (6 x 6 Matting Basics).

The tree is cut from both silver and white, I've inked the white tree

with distress inks and placed the silver behind as a shadow.

 

 

I also cut the reindeer from white card and used distress inks to colour.

There is two shaped dies for the snow, I layered these over the branches.

Then the dilemma of where to place snowflakes!

Five different snowflake dies come with this die set, all lovely.

As I post this I'm heading out the door to drive to the Cotswolds,

hoping for a dry weekend although eating chocolate doesn't have

to really rely on the weather!

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

It is Friday and in my world that can only mean...

Friday Die Day!

This week I'm featuring one of the Chantilly Paper Lace dies -

Hannah Elise.

A three piece die set that can be nested or used individually.

All of these Chantilly Paper Lace dies designed by Becca Feeken

have been inspired by French lace.

This is how this set looks cut/embossed.

I prepared my card base with patterned paper matting,

lots of distressing at the edges.

The papers are from this paper pad from the 99p store!

I often take a little look at their crafty bits and occasionally find a little gem.

I mounted the largest die cut with foam pads.

The stamped sentiment is Altenew.

The finishing touch is little flowers (Swallow and Heart die set).



A die that looks effective used both vertically or horizontally,

also thinking switching those little flowers to mini poinsettias = Christmas card!

Finally we took delivery of the majority of pre-order dies

so I'm delighted to announce we have some beautiful items in stock.

 This is a card I created with Annabelle's Trousseau, simply cut from

ivory card and mounted onto patterned paper.

It showcases the die design beautifully.

Made a start on your Christmas cards yet...?

Hello friends

Are you making your Christmas cards this year?

If so, along with special intricate cards you may like a quick and easy design.

Using the Spellbinders 3D shading stamps couldn't be easier

and that's me saying that...I'm really not a stamper! 

I'm so impressed with the finished look of these stamps.

We've managed to restock certain designs and this is one of them.

This is Wreath, stamped onto wide cardstock (6 x 6 Matting Basics)

and lightly coloured with pens.

The little fir cones look so detailed with the shading.

Advent Kits and more...

Hello friends

Thank you for all the lovely comments on yesterday's post,

the letter written by Great Uncle Walter is a treasured possession,

I did attempt to locate a photo of him in service through

the various forces websites but I'm still looking.

I have lots of memories of him as I was growing up,

he and his wife Dorothy retired to Ramsgate and lived in the 

most pristine bungalow I've ever seen! 

Today I'm going to mention Christmas approaching, 

(42 days...I know it's coming around so quickly)!

But this does lead me neatly on to mentioning Advent Kits!

I started doing these a few years ago and they've always proved popular.

There is available advent kits, frames

and individual boxes available on the website.

If you are new to my blog/website you may not have seen these.

There is a full kit available that consists of :

Wooden frame

25 cut/embossed box bases - ivory pearlised cardstock, 300gsm

25 cut/embossed box lids (paper design is Simple Stories - December Documented)

25 small decorative patterned labels

Ready made circular numbers 1-25

Full instructions

To create, it's as simple as folding the boxes and lids, 

assembling with your chosen adhesive,

attaching labels and numbers.

A fun project to do with children too.More details are here.

Over the years I've had requests for frames only, they are available here.

Or if you already own a frame and would like updated/replacement box components,

you can purchase those here.

these can be printed in burgundy or green - make sure you 

request what colour when you order please.

I've had one of these frames up for my boys every year,

I enjoy shopping for all the little treats and add coins, chocolates 

and sometimes little promise notes of things to do in the New Year.
