Succulent and Mum Flower

Hello friends

It isn't a card today!!
And after all that spookiness of yesterday I felt like going flowery.
Sharing with you a frame that I've created using

I used a variety of distress inks and then sprayed with water.
It was then easy to manipulate the petals into different shapes,
yes a little time consuming but very relaxing.

The little box frame with mount is from Ikea, £2.50 -
now wishing I had purchased more!

Succulent and Mum Flower is available to pre-order on the website here,
it is one of the Thoughful Expressions dies designed by Marisa Job -
they are all stunning.

Take care friends, please stop by tomorrow for Hump Day Giveaway.

Spooky!

Hello friends

Did you have a nice weekend?
I've been crafting away in my cabin, making various projects
from Halloween, Autumn, Christmas and Summer!
Experiencing lots of seasons/occasion in one day.

With Halloween imminent I created a card using Spooky Tree.

I created an aperture card using Classic Squares
Inserted an orange patterned square through the aperture
and affixed to the inside back of the card.
Die cut the Spooky Tree and three bats all from black cardstock.

I positioned the tree and bats so that they partially covered the aperture,
allowing the card to open.

Maybe not as scary as it could be but enough for me...I'm a scaredy cat!

Spooky Tree is available pre-loved on the website here.
And some further pre-loved Halloween dies are also available,

Will you be celebrating Halloween?
Not so many children live in my road now but we do have some
sweets at the ready just in case.

Take care friends.

Very late or nice and early?

Hello friends

I'm either very late with a blog post for today or nice and early
with a post intended for tomorrow!
Either way I'm sitting down and typing away.

I played with Stitched Borders this afternoon, an embossing die
set with five different border designs, use alone or mix and match
to emboss patterns into your projects.

I chose to align all five butting up to each other onto a piece of white card,
secured with removable tape and embossed.

I loved the result as a background.

Added a flower, sentiment and twine - finished!

The flower is created with Succulent and Mum Die Set,
one of the Thoughtful Expression dies available to pre-order.

I've been working with this flower die set a lot recently,
clever that they adapt to both succulents and Chrysanthemums
and also a daisy look flower.

Stitched Borders is available on the website here,
both new and pre-loved, I'm thinking this set could be used in
lots of ways.

Succulent and Mum flower die set is available to pre-order here.
Also, if you place an order on the website before midnight tomorrow
you will receive double loyalty points.

Take care friends, hope your weekend is going well.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

A festive Friday Die Day this week - Gilded Ornaments.
http://hopeandchances.co.uk/shop/christmas/gilded-ornaments/
A 6 piece die set that includes a round ornament shape with three
decorative inserts, bow and hanger.
The approximate measurements are:

Hanger: 0.70 x 0.80 in. 1.80 x 2.00cm
Bow: 1.40 x 0.90 in. 9.60 x 2.30cm
Ornament (3): 2.10 x 2.10 in. 5.30 x 5.30cm
Ornament Outline: 2.50 x 2.50 in. 6.40 x 6.40cm

This is how they look cut/embossed.

For my card I cut a mat (5 x 7 Matting Basics)
and stamped Holly and Berries in the right hand corners.
(This is one of the 3D shading stamps and in stock here).

I die cut three plain white circles using the ornament outline die and
applied distress ink.

Placed the ornament die cuts over the top and affixed silver hangers to each
bauble.

The finished card, matted onto a white card front and bows placed
on two ornaments.

A less traditional colour scheme but a nice change.

Gilded Ornaments is available on the website here.
A lovely die set and perfect for parcel tags too.

Enjoy your weekend, I'll be crafting in my cabin
possibly looking out a new box set to watch so any recommendations?

Take care friends.

Spring now!?

Hello friends

I'm keeping with my seasonal muddle and offering you Spring today.
This is Spring Canopy, a four piece die set, the flowery canopy,
bird, birdhouse and butterfly.
I've teamed it with the Tree die.
I cut Spring Canopy from white card, stenciled through the die for
the green leaves and then got out my colouring pens.

I think the bird is very cute!

I added some white lines to the flowers, stood back and thought
that they look just like party ring biscuits!

Spring Canopy is available to pre-order on the website here
and Tree is also available here.

I was up late working last night on projects, a lot are samples for
Create and Craft and I will be sharing them with you soon.
The cabin feels very different at nighttime, possibly because I can hear foxes
and Bella barking at them!

Take care friends and please stop by tomorrow for Hump Day Giveaway.

Christmas Today..not Summer!

Hello friends

I featured Summer yesterday and today Christmas,
I think I'm in a seasonal muddle!
My clean and simple card design uses Snowflake Snippets,
a 5 piece die set designed as tiles.
I chose two of the tile designs for my card and overlayed the die cuts
onto some white/silver patterned paper.

Stamped 'For You' (Lawn Fawn stamp set) and added mini poinsettia and leaf.
The die cut sets of mini poinsettias are proving very popular and available
on the website here.

Snowflake Snippets sold out recently but are back in stock here.

Last month I also featured them on these projects for
Spellbinders.  Emboss only with one of the large tiles.

I had a fairly productive day in my cabin yesterday,
November's charity kit is now organised.
Big thanks to Mum again for helping with all the die cutting.
I had design boards to finish and projects, not quite there but back to it today.

Take care friends, I hope none of you have been blown away by
Storm Brian (happens to be my Dad's name so there's been jokes at home!)

In the midst of Autumn I give you...Summer!

Hello friends

Yes, in the midst of Autumn I give you...
Summer!
It is in fact a die set called Summer Canopy, part of the Four Seasons Collection
designed by Lene Lok.
The idea here is that you can purchase the tree die, appropriately called 'Tree'(!)
and select seasonal canopies, Summer, Spring, Autumn and Winter.
Tree can of course be used on it's own and add your own leaves, blossom etc.

Summer Canopy die set is three pieces, the canopy,
the chair and swing.
I die cut from white card and stencilled through the die and added
more distress ink for depth and colour -
a technique I really should remember to do more!

Mounted onto white card mat (6 x 6 Matting Basics) and white card base.

Final touches is the Anniversary Wishes sentiment, from one of my typed sheets
available on the website here and little flowers from the Swallow and Heart die set.

It is nice that you can see the tips of the tree branches through the canopy.

Summer Canopy is available to pre-order on the website here.
Tree is also available to pre-order and can be found here.

Lovely comments on yesterday's post - Friday Die Day,
the Note Holder - thank you.  Ann suggests it could be a possible
charity kit and I think that's a jolly good idea...stay tuned!

This weekend I'm camping out in my cabin!
Well, not quite but I do need to put in lots of hours so fingers crossed
that all goes to plan.

Take care friends, hoping the weather brightens this weekend
and perhaps we do feel a little bit Summery!
