Poppies

Hello friends

A little late in asking you all if you had a nice weekend,
I hope you all did!
I spent Sunday with my crafty friends up in Milton Keynes.
I chose to have a little break from papercrafting and
I'm trying my hand at rug making, just a kit to
create a cushion but using a rug making tool and the strands of wool.
I'm really enjoying it but it is slow progress.

Today...back to die cutting.

I love Poppies and with this new die from Spellbinders
(aptly named 'Poppies'!) -
I feel thorough spoiled!
There's 6 dies in the set making it possible to cut and overlay
the poppy flowers and leaves.

I used black cardstock to die cut the main stems and flower heads
and then overlayed with bright red.

The background paper is from my scrap box,
I'm never likely to see the bottom of that box!

The embossed detail of the poppy flowers is beautiful.

Poppies is available to pre-order on the website here,
we are expecting them in later this month.

Take care friends and remember tomorrow is
Hump Day Giveaway as well as announcing last week's winner.

  4. Morning Christine,
Lovely card and die set, saw this on C&C yesterday, wish you were doing the Spellbinders shows.
Know what you mean about the scrap box, I gave a load to the brownies which I'm sure they put to good use.
