Floral Berry Anniversary

Hello friends

 

Mum and Dad celebrated their wedding anniversary recently

and this is the card I created for them.

 

The matted patterned paper is old...it must be as it was right at the bottom

of my odd paper scrap box!

 

I used 5 x 7 Matting Basics for the sentiment,

'Happy Anniversary' is printed using Font Gabriola size 22.

The flowers and foliage is a gorgeous die set designed for

Spellbinders by Stacey Caron and is called

Floral Berry Accents.

 

Love the detail on the foliage.

Other news: I will be back on The Craft Channel tomorrow,

I'm recording a show but doing a live one at 3pm

(that may be subject to change but at the moment that's the plan).

 

I've had a little break from TV while I've been travelling to demo,

it will be nice to be back at the studio seeing everyone again and

no doubt having a good natter!

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day features one of the new Spellbinders
stamp and die sets designed by Debi Adams.
This is Beauty and Elegance.
It consists of four dies and four coordinating stamps.



The approximate measurements are:

Oval Die: 1.90 x 3.00 in and Swan Die: 1.40 x 1.60 in
Beauty Die: 1.20 x 2.70 in and Rose Die: 1.50 x 2.10 in
Oval Stamp: 1.90 x 3.00 in
Swan Stamp: 1.40 x 1.50 in
Beauty Stamp: 1.10 x 2.60 in and Rose Stamp: 1.50 x 1.90

Once the image is stamped the dies fit perfectly.

Here are the four designs, swan, flowers and the word 'beauty'.

I've done a little bit of colouring.

Not professional at all - so look away if you are a colouring expert!

My card base is white, black mat, the patterned paper is 

Kaisercraft - Black and White Timeless.  

I die cut the oval in black card for the centre.

For You Frame

Hello friends

Today a project that I created for the Spellbinders blog.

It features dies designed by Debi Adams.

I chose to go very leafy with bright flowers!

Really getting to grips with the stamps and matching die sets

- lots of fun.  Clustering the flowers that I die cut from some handmade paper 

I found in a local discount shop added a bright touch.

Flower Box

I hope you had a great Bank Holiday,

as usual the weather was a little off and the days were on fast forward!

Sharing a project today that has just been featured on the

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day is another new Die D-Lite and it features

one of the all time crafty favourites (and mine) - a butterfly!

The die set is called Brilliant Butterfly.

It consists of two dies and the approximate measurements are:

Butterfly: 2.20 x 1.55 in

Flourish: 2.05 x 1.20 in

This is how it looks cut/embossed.

I've chosen to make a simple mini card this week.

Card base of white, further matting of craft card and bright green.

All using 6 x 6 Matting Basics A and B.

On a further piece of white card I've positioned

the butterfly within a 6 x 6 Matting Basics B.

I'm keeping the aperture piece and placed 3D Foam Squares to the reverse.



I stamped a sentiment to the bottom section - Scripty Sayings from Lawn Fawn.

Once the aperture piece was in place I reinserted the die cut pink butterfly.

Simples!

Decorative Swallowtail Tags

Hello friends

Today's card features the very lovely Decorative Swallowtail Tags.

Another one of the stunning dies from Becca Feeken's 

Amazing Paper Grace collection.  

Teamed with silver mirror card makes it extra elegant and

also the embossing shows through beautifully.

This is one of my demo sample cards so it has been mounted 

onto a white background.

I've used a stamp for the sentiment and the little decorative black heart,

apologies a very old stamp and I've misplaced (not lost!) the packaging.

The die set contains 5 dies in total and is available to purchase

from Spellbinders retailers now.

This collection is stated as being for weddings but I can envisage

lots of uses for such a pretty die set. 

Again, deciding where to place the pearls took the longest!
