Snowing where you are?

Did the snow arrive where you are?

We had a sprinkling and then rain, jolly cold though.

Appropriate to share a snowy project and this is a notepad project using 

Snowflake Snippets.

A very popular die set and I understand why,

with four dies in the set it is very versatile.

I've used one of the middle size snowflakes to create

a shaker window.  Using Adhesive Sheets with the die means

it sticks perfectly onto acetate.

The very festive flower

What's the most festive flower?

Well I think it has to be the Poinsettia - do you agree?

The 3D Poinsettia stamp enables you to make

very effective cards with minimal effort, believe me because

I'm not a stamper! 

Both my card designs are very simple,

matting, stamping and using pens to colour.

Poinsettia 3D stamp is available on the website here although it has been

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day features Blessings Vine Frame.

A very pretty two piece die set, the frame and the sentiment.

The approximate measurements are:

Blessings: 2.10 x 0.70 in. 5.30 x 1.80 cm

Vine Frame: 5.60 x 4.30 in. 14.20 x 10.90 cm

This is how they look cut/embossed.

I've chosen to cut both from white cardstock and get out my distress inks again.

I'm getting a lot of mileage out of my distress inks at the moment,

they got forgotten for a while but now I'm having fun revisiting them.

I applied multiple colours.

Aiming for a warmish effect.

Mounted the frame onto a piece of pale patterned paper

and then affixed both to my card front.

I thought I would go vertical, the frame looks great used both ways.

I then added a cluster of flowers.

These are Textured Flowers, coming back in stock soon.

The sentiment 'Blessings' inked and attached.

The finished card.

Switch out the flowers for red poinsettias to make a Christmas card.

It started as a piece of string...

Hello friends

These weeks leading up to Christmas despite being busy

are my favourite time of year. 

I just sense that people are that little bit happier, sharing smiles.

Christmas brings with it family traditions, certain foods (Twiglets!),

jolly jumpers and always trying to put a festive hat on the dog/cat!

At the weekend our tree went up and the final decorations added last night.

One decoration in the Emberson household is a garland that really started

as a piece of string/cord and decorations get added each year.

We joke that it is going to be too heavy at some point for the mere drawing pins

that hold it in place.

I've just ordered some floristry apples to attach, I cannot resist more! 

So if you have a length of cord, ribbons (of course you do, you're a crafter!)

and some left over tree decorations I urge you to start a garland.

Everything is tied on and occasional use of a glue gun.

 Now to a die cutting crafty offering...

Note Holder die sold out within minutes last week,

more on order but in between for a last minute festive make/gift

there are still some note holder kits available here.

Snowflake Snippets Shaker Card

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

My day at Waddeston Manor with my friends was wonderful,

it rained but that did not stop us having lots of fun.

I managed to do a little bit of Christmas shopping too so all good.

Back to crafty-land and today, it is all about shaking!

I rarely make shaker projects and yet I've made a couple in the last week or so.

This card is for a workshop I'm doing at Sir Stampalot in Peterborough soon

and features Snowflake Snippets.

Becca Feeken who designed this die set has also made a larger version

of this card, I kept it a little smaller so it was speedier for the class.

I used adhesive sheets to affix the die cut onto acetate and the

outer die to create the frames in the card mat.

The glitter I used is very fine (I'm still finding it all over the place),

I've purchased a chunkier glitter now!

December's Charity Kit

It is the first Sunday of the month - that means Charity Kit Day!
This month it is a Warm Winter Wishes card
featuring Tree and Winter Canopy and Elements.
(I adore the reindeer!)
I thought this could be a Christmas card or a Winter Birthday card.
