Friday Die Day

Hello friends

It's a slippery slope to lots of Christmassy blog posts
but for today I will stick with Autumn!

Featuring one of the die sets from the Woodland Collection -
Acorns
It's a Die D-Lite set and the approximate measurements are:
Acorn 1: 2.35 x 1.30 inches
Acorn 2: 2.20 x 1.20 inches
Leaves: 2.00 x 1.80

This is how they look cut/embossed,
nice deep embossed area at the top of acorns.

Don't forget to stencil through your dies, you can achieve
such warmth of colours and tones this way.

A card this week,  I selected 5 x 7 Matting Basics
and Standard Circles LG, positioned onto cream card,
cut/emboss.

Onto an ivory card front I matted DCWV Cinnamon Luster paper.

And a smaller square on top of that.

Placed my cream die cut front, (duly stamped with fav stamp set!)
Scripty Sayings and attached some twine with Crafty Power Tape.
Mounted this up with Crafty Foam Tape.

Die cut the Acorns from brown cardstock and
clustered them with the leaves.

Close up pics - the leaves are so malleable - I resisted doing hours of tweaking!

As mentioned I'm currently at the NEC Hobbycrafts Show
but tomorrow I'm heading off to Wolstanton, Newcastle-under-Lyme
to Crafty Interiors - I'll be there for a Spellbinders workshop in
the morning and a demo in the afternoon.
And then I'll be back at the NEC on Sunday!

If you walk by my stand and I look like I'm nodding off just give
me a shove!  I see a lot of coffee ahead...

Take care friends - have a lovely weekend.

  12. Hello Christine
Lovely card and the die set is brilliant, something a little different to add to a card instead of flowers. The Woodland range is a great range.
