Introducing Prizm!

Hello friends

Let me introduce you to Spellbinders Prizm!
This is a new machine due to arrive in March 2016
and just announced recently at CHA.

The picture doesn't really show the decorative front which is faceted.

So to answer the questions I've received...

What size dies will work in the Prizm?
Thin metal dies measuring less than 2.25" wide and 8" long.

Is this similar to Sapphire machine?
Yes it is but as Sapphire here in the UK is exclusive to Create and Craft TV
Spellbinders have launched a machine that all retailers can sell.

What sandwiches do you use for cutting and embossing?
The Prizm works very much like the Grand Calibur (but smaller!)
it comes with a base plate, cutting plate, embossing plate and tan mat -
all labelled - handy!

Who will this machine be suitable for?
All crafters!  It is portable, ideal to use on a lap tray in front of the TV,
great for travel or if you have a holiday home, caravan, boat.
Also a great starter machine for new crafters.

As soon as I get my hands on one I will do a blog post in a lot more detail.

Take care friends.

  4. Hi Christine,
I have the Sapphire and it is such a handy machine, if the prizm is the same, I would highly recommend it. It sits on my desk and takes up no room at all and is used for all the little dies that I frequently use.

  6. Morning Christine,
I didn't realise the Sapphire was exclusive to C& C. If my Cuttlebug gives up on me I'll be interested in this new one don't always want to use the big machine.

  8. Good Morning Christine
I had C/craft send the Sapphire to my daughter in Perth, it was only £9 so that was cheaper than me sending it!
I now send all my little Dies to her to encourage another crafter!
The little machines look so sturdy...I'm on my 4th Calibur, Teal this time so lets hope its stronger!
So many machines at the moment hard to choose!
    Take care
    Love Marg

  9. Hi Christine, I, too, hadn't realised that the Sapphire was exclusive to C&C, I have the Sapphire and find it fabulous, I use it much more than my larger machine, and it sits there proudly on my desk and is so, so, cute. No wonder Spellbinders have brought out the Prism then, so that all the retailers have a chance of selling a smaller machine, which, to me, the smaller machine is 'invaluable' and so easy to use.
Thank you for the information on the Prism machine, and I will look forward to hearing your ideas on it, when you can get your hands on one.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  11. Hi Christine,
What a cutie! Right now I have a Joy Trouvaille and a Cut 'n Boss, both with an A4 platform. I've been thinking about getting a smaller machine for quite some time and had my heart set on a Big Shot...okay, not as small as this one but smaller than the two I already have (one of which stands sulking in the corner as it's hardly ever used). I think I would like to see how this one works out once you manage to get your hands on one and, if the price is good, I may well think about trying one before I decide about the Big Shot. I have quite a few small dies that would fit this one and as I don't shop with C&C any more, this may be the way to so.

  14. Hello Christine,
I got the Sapphire for my granddaughter and it's brilliant, but I hadn't realised that it was exclusive to C&C. The Sapphire is so good, I was thinking of getting it myself but will wait now. Although I do have 4 other cutting machines, so I've just talked myself out of it ha ha.
