Hello friends
How do you brighten up a Wednesday?
I think with a giveaway!
I'm often asked what dies I use the most.
Well...if you put aside all the flowers and Sprigs it has to be my
Matting Basics. I especially like the 6 x 6 sets.
They enable me to create perfect layering with that crisp border.
Here are just a few cards where the Matting Basics have been invaluable.
Today I'm giving away a brand new set of 6 x 6 Matting Basics B.
As usual, really simple, just leave a comment on today's blog post
and a winner will be picked out next week.
Don't forget to stop back to check if you are the winner.
Charity Kit news...just a couple left so if you haven't purchased
grab one quick. Thank you so much everyone.
Take care friends.
Hi Christine.
ReplyDeleteThank you some really lovely cards.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
I've often envied the neat finish on your cards - I'd love to be in the hat for a set of dies
ReplyDeleteJane
Have to agree Christine. When they were first released i thought them unnecessary as I could cut with my guillotine but succumbed and now use them all the time . As you say they give such a professional finish.
ReplyDeleteI don't have the square dies as yet so a chance to win is great.
Hugs Linda
Hi Christine
ReplyDeleteYour cards are beautiful and all have that professional finish .
Love how you get the different size borders .

ReplyDeleteMorning Christine, Great piccies of your fabulous samples using the Matting Basics, a brilliant die set. I use my 'eye' and a guillotine, and never seem to get it right !!
ReplyDeleteA brilliant giveaway.
I'm off to Church this morning for the 'Ashing' Service. Did you have pancakes last night, I made 8, hubby had 5 and I had 3, they were gorgeous, my Delia recipe never fails me haha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hello Christine, I must admit that I haven't bought any matting basics because I didn't see the point when I can use a guillotine, but I noticed at Christmas that a couple of cards made by friends did look much crisper and very professional. Looking at your photos I can see why, so it would be lovely to receive a set of these matting dies to start me off. I'm crossing everything! Thanks also for some amazing demos on this blog.

Morning Christine,
ReplyDeleteLove all of your cards, I only have one set which is the A2 B which I do use a lot, have looked at the 6x6 but being on a budget I have resisted. I do make more square cards than any other size so these dies would be very useful. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I may be lucky to win your very generous giveaway.

Hi Christine, I love the first card so stylish, would love the chance to win any die! Thanks for the chance. Have a creative day. X
ReplyDeleteLovely cards! They look so professional and neat. I'm left handed and can't cut straight even with leftie scissors!
ReplyDeleteAs always you have hit the nail on the head Christine, it's the basic shapes which we go to again and again. This is proved by the variety of the cards you have used to illustrate your choice.
ReplyDeletegood morning Christine, I hadn't realised there was a 6 x 6 matting basics. What a good idea as this is a size I often use. Some splendid samples shown of your cards, best wishes Jackie x

ReplyDeleteWinning money at blackjack isn't all about basic strategy and counting cards. Consistently winning big money depends a lot on the betting system you use. Anyone who has played blackjack at a real casino knows that one moment you can be on top of the world in chips but the next you can be digging in your wallet for more funds.

ReplyDeleteI use my matting and layering dies ALL the time and agree with the comment that they are indispensable. What a generous giveaway. Don't invlude me though as I already have them. Best wishes Anne O
Lovely cards Christine, I particularly like the first one. Please don't put me in the draw as I have these dies,
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice if they go to someone who hasn't got them yet, as they are as so useful.

Hi Christine,
ReplyDeleteLove your card designs and the matting basics would be such a useful die set to achieve the clean and crisp finish. I don't have the 6 x 6 size so please enter me in your draw.

Hi Christine, Second time lucky to post this I hope...the first effort vanished off my screen lol. I have the smaller matting basics sets and wouldn't be without them as I'm useless at getting my mats right, even with a set of perfect layers rulers! I've got the 5x7 and the 6x6 sets on my Spellbinders wish list as I think they are sets that will be used all the time.
ReplyDeleteMy charity kit arrived this morning and I'm really looking forward to playing with it at the weekend.

Hi Christine Love the last two days cards. The get well soon card is really smart in the colours you have used. Would love to have a chance to win the die set. Love Valerie
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, i can see these would be extremely useful. Thank you for the chance to win a set! Sue x
ReplyDeleteHello Christine
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a Wednesday Christine.
I agree my most used dies are my matting basics and nesties - squares, rectangles, circles and ovals. I would not be with out them. Oh and my floral ovals too!! (Ha ha had to have one fancy one in there).
Take care
Lesley
Fabulous cards. Love the crisp lines of the matting basics. Would like to have the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! Those matting basics certainly do a professional job! Thank you so much for the chance to win! xxx

ReplyDeleteRene from OZ xo
Beautiful as always - I have so many Spellbinders dies (apart from the Fox - LOVING the fox) but haven't got any of the matting dies. Fingers crossed for a nice surprise! Have a great day xx
ReplyDeleteLovely cards designs,Christine, now I know why they are so well Matt & layered. I usually use my Guillotine but your neat cards show me the error of my ways. Having these dies in my collection would be a great addition so fingers crossed and thank you for our generosity x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards and yes the perfect squares do make a difference. Karen xxx
ReplyDeleteVery nice cards, thanks for the opportunity to win a set of matting dies, don't have any of these yet.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Christine. Looks like these dies are very useful.
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, thanks for sharing these wonderful cards. My fav is the first one, I think it's very elegant. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to win the labour saving matting basics dies. x
ReplyDeleteGreat Cards Christine, I was so pleased when Spellbinders brought these out. However, when I used A & B I always got the same size squares, so gave up using them. Then I purchased the 7 x 5 matting basics A & B which I use all the time, no problem. So last week I cut out all the 6 x 6 A with one colour copier paper and all the 6 x 6 B with another colour and unfortunately for me I have two sets of A! Packing error. I emailed Spellbinders about a week ago just to see if perhaps they had had a problem with the packing of these. No reply. Sadly can't remember where my father purchased them for me.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be good if we had Matting basics A & B for A5 cards? Well I think so selfishly. Most importantly they give fab results everytime, perfect layers, I love them.
Wendy
Hi Christine, a beautiful selection of cards today, I love them, thank you for your inspiration.
