Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day is Autumn Canopy.
I've just sneaked this in before Winter is upon us although it was so cold
yesterday we even had a flurry of snow.

This die set is designed to coordinate with Tree.
There are three dies in the set and the approximate measurements are:

Bushel of Apples: 0.60 x 0.70 in. 1.50 x 1.80 cm
Ladder: 1.00 x 1.90 in. 2.50 x 4.80 cm
Autumn Canopy: 3.70 x 2.35 in. 9.40 x 5.90 cm

This is how they look cut/embossed.

I kept the Autumn Canopy die cut in the die and stencilled through with a red pen to
highlight the apples.

I then used distress ink over the top.

For my kraft card base, I used Wild Honey distress ink for a warm glow background.

Tree is die cut from white card and coloured with distress ink,
along with the ladder.  Both affixed to the card front and
a stamped sentiment to the corner.

Affixed the Autumn Canopy over the tree branches
with foam pads for dimension.
The finished card.

You could add some glossy accents to make the apples look shiny if you wish.
Autumn Canopy is available to purchase on the website here
and Tree is available here.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend,
wrap up warm - it's going to be a nippy one!

  7. Hi Christine
Lovely card today. I even like the tree with no leaves on as a winter card. We had sunshine in Oxfordshire today but it was still pretty nippy.
