Chase Your Dreams

Hello friends

I love the sentiment on today's card, this is another Lindsay Mason stamp.
As mentioned, that boy of mine is going to be stocking Lindsay's stamps soon,
keep an eye on his blog for new product news.

I featured this card on The Craft Channel recently.
It uses Triple Floral and Ivy.
The decorative edging of Triple Floral is also the design used for
Oval Floral and Garden Party, I guess if you find a nice design that works...
I'm rather in love with the Ivy die - something very therapeutic about assembling the
leaves onto the branch.

The papers are Studio Light - My Botanic Garden.

Did I mention 'that boy of mine'??
Well he was on Facebook yesterday getting all the comments :)
We took a trip to the Royal Marsden to chat with Elliott's consultant regarding
his MRI scans. These have to be pretty regular and we are still trying to find the
best scanner to help with his claustrophobia.  We are hopefully trying one in
London within the next few months so fingers crossed.

Back to City work today, I remove my creative head and put on my
sensible office one...well I try to!

Take care friends.
Please stop by tomorrow for FDD.

Craving for Spring...

Hello friends

So yesterday was festive and today is more Spring-like,
I'm all over the place!
I normally like this time of year, the build up to Christmas but actually
right now...I'm hating the rain.
In my attempt to drive away the dampness I made a flower -
The dies in this Crafty Flower line are easy to make and assemble.
That boy of mine has quite a few in the pre-loved section of the website here.

The box is Square Petal Top Box (apparently in a sale on the website here!)

Thank you to those who purchased the Charity Kit announced yesterday,
there's still some left but not many!

I am getting ready for demoing this weekend, I'm off to Hampshire -
Emerald Crafts in Lyndhurst,
yes the New Forest, I spent many a holiday there as a child.
All the details are on their news page here.
Hoping if you live that way you can pop along and say hello.

Take care friends and don't forget your brolly!

October's Charity Kit

Hello friends

It's here - at last.. a Charity Kit!
Apologies there was not a kit last month, it just was not possible to squeeze one in.

For this month's kit I decided to go festive, a Christmas card featuring
the lovely Stylized Trees.
I used three tones of green card for the trees and they are matted onto
textured hammered ivory cardstock.
The gold stars atop the trees adds that bit of festive sparkle!

Your kit contains:

White card blank and envelope
Black cardstock for matting
Ivory hammered cardstock for matting
Die cuts - Curved Borders and Stylized Trees
3D Foam Squares
Lucky Number
Full instructions

As always, inside your kit is a lucky number, the prize is an assortment of
dies, stamps, adhesive and more so keep a good hold of your ticket!

The price of this month's kit inclusive of packing and posting is £4.50.
I have placed a PayPal button below, it is also possible to alter
quantities should you wish to order more.

Thank you everyone for your continuing support.
We are all doing a great thing here!

Take care friends.

I used these recently on a Friday Die Day with a painting technique.

And the winner is...drum roll....

Laughter Is Good For The Soul

Hello friends

Today a card that is sort of steering me away from my white phase!
I've added just a touch of colour with the papers.
I'm happy with this card, sometimes that happens - I finish a project,
sit back and think yes... I like this one!
The background is Pierced Rectangles and the fencing (another die I love)
is Victorian Picket.

The flower element is Floral Corner 2
and the stamp is designed by Lindsay Mason...apparently
that boy of mine is stocking these stamps very soon and also if there are
any dies you need he is happy to order them.
He's got big plans...so keep an eye on his blog...

I got to spend some time with Lindsay at The Craft Channel recently,
she's is a very talented lady and her stamps are beautiful.

I'm hoping to be back at The Craft Channel soon and I promise you all the requests for
Freeview and Virgin are noted, they are working on it...
sadly it's not as easy as you would think -
I'm not entirely sure of all the technicalities but they want it to happen as
much as we do.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend,
I'm pleased to be getting on top of a few jobs - even if it is housework!

Take care friends.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

Well it's been a very busy week and this Friday came around in super quick time,
thankfully I had a post I prepared quite a bit earlier - phew!

This week's Friday Die Day is featuring Labels Thirty Nine.
The set consists of five die templates with a bracket edge and soft curves.
It's a great shape for matting and the approximate die sizes are:

1: 1⅜ x 1¾”
2: 2 x 2⅝”
3: 2¾ x 3⅜”
4: 3½ x 4⅜”
5: 4¼ x 5¼”

This is how it looks cut/embossed.
Using white card I've chosen to cut/emboss die #4 and #5.
With the smaller one I used #1 to create an aperture.
Because I wanted the largest die as my card front I created a folded flap to
adhere to the reverse of the die cut.
I'm still in my white phase so for my card front decoration I went with
I inked these lightly for just a subtle touch of colour.
I matted the die cuts with Crafty Foam Tape
and inserted the sprigs through the aperture.
It was then as easy as applying the little flowers with crystal gemstones to the middle.

My white phase seems to be lasting quite a long time...
thinking Christmas may cure it!

All the dies mentioned are available on the website, just click on their names
to follow the link.

Wishing you all a great weekend, I'm not travelling this weekend,
I'm tackling the washing and ironing...it has seriously got out of hand,
think mountain and double it!

Take care friends.

Hearts and Flowers

Hello friends
While I was at the TV studios a project of mine appeared on the
Spellbinders blog so I thought I would share it with you today.
Using the Platinum I've die cut felt with Flower Play dies to create a dimensional flower.
I teamed it with a die cut heart to make a wall hanging.
For all the details and step by step photos please hop over to the Spellbinders blog.
I returned home late last night after a full day at The Craft Channel.
Here I am setting up with Paul Lavers.
It was great fun and I love being there, not quite so keen on the London traffic
driving home, but still worth it!

Take care friends, I'm back tomorrow for FDD!
