With Love Gatefold

Hello friends

 

Today sharing a card that has been featured on the

Spellbinders blog earlier this week.

 

It features the rather lovely Botanical Bliss Heart.

The interchangeable heart in the middle is so handy.

 

I chose to create a gatefold card and sliced the die cuts in

half to feature on each side of the front panels.

I rarely make gatefold, it felt nice to revisit this design.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

 

Today featuring another set of lovely dies and coordinating stamps

designed by Debi Adams for Spellbinders.

This set is called Happy Times.

The approximate measurements are:

 

Circle Die: 2.00 x 2.00 in 

Banner Die: 0.80 x 1.10 in
You are a Natural Stamp: 0.70 x 1.00 in

Congrats Stamp: 0.30 x 1.20 in
Hip Hip Hooray Stamp: 0.60 x 1.00 in
Be Happy: 0.60 x 1.00 in
Best Wishes: 0.80 x 1.10 in

 This is how they look cut/embossed. 

 

I've chosen the 'be...happy' stamp and die cut with Standard Circles LG.

I like all the stamp sentiments in this set, think they'll be very useful.

 

My card base uses Pierced Rectangles and the patterned paper is

My Mind's Eye - Indie Chic, Nutmeg. 

 

Using the kraft die cuts I've made a topper, added a little flower and leaf for colour.

 

The finished card.

 

Simple card and hopefully effective.

Stand Tall

Today's card was recently featured on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

blog.  It's a message of confidence card perhaps for those

going through a difficult time.

 

The stamp set and dies are from a Spellbinders set called Fearless.

Charity Kit - June

June!?  Where is this year going?
It's time to announce this month's Charity Kit and it is

a thank you card featuring the lovely layered Arched Swallowtail Pennants.

 

Your kit will contain:

Full instructions

All you need is preferred adhesive and a gemstone.

 

 

As always, inside your kit is a lucky number, the prize is an assortment of

dies, stamps, adhesive so please keep a good hold of your ticket
as the winning number will be announced later in the month.

 

The price of this month's kit inclusive of packing and posting is £4.75

This week Friday Die Day is featuring the stamp and die set

designed by Debi Adams and called Fresh Sentiments.

 

The approximate measurements are as follows:

Tag Stamp: 1.80 x 2.70 in
Mr and Mrs Stamp: 1.10 x 1.30 in
Fresh Stamp: 0.40 x 1.80 in
Merci Stamp: 0.70 x 1.30 in
Celebrate Stamp: 0.50 x 1.70 in
Sups Cute Stamp: 1.00 x 1.30 in

 

This how the die looks cut/embossed

I've stamped an image and positioned the die.

 

My card base and matting is created with A2 Matting Basics A and B.

Stamped 'Celebrate' to bottom section.

 

Got my colouring pens out!

 

Matted card with twine and added some die cut banners.

The banner is created from the die included in the set Totally You.

 

The finished card, turned the label up the other way for a different look.

I think I've recovered from my rather large intake of chocolate this week,

Chocolate Ecstasy!

Warning...photo heavy blog post! 

Yesterday I spent a fabulous day in London on a 

Chocolate Ecstasy Tour.

This was organised by my writer friend Carole Matthews as a

thank you to those who had helped promote her book

The Chocolate Lovers' Wedding.

Here we all are...

The tour leader - Jennifer is fantastic, not only is her chocolate

knowledge superb she has snippets and facts about

London as you walk to the various chocolate shops.

Despite the rain it was a brilliant day out.

We started with hot chocolate and pastries in Sketch, a rather swanky

restaurant/club in Mayfair.

Aspreys - just across the road.

First stop the Queen's chosen chocolate shop - Charbonnel et Walker

I'm clearly not royal as I wasn't too struck on the violet and rose cremes 

but I did rather like the champagne truffles!

Next stop Prestat - fun, bright and quirky - very Willy Wonka.

Loved this shop!

Marzipan and Pistachio particularly good along

with London Gin truffles!

We walked by Fortnum and Mason and their windows are 

Alice in Wonderland at the moment.

A real treat for the eyes.

More chocolate stops...

Paul A Young - there's even Marmite truffles here!

I couldn't quite cope with eating chocolate in every shop so I brought 

some home - I'm thinking I can probably eat them later in the week!
