Hello friends
This week's Friday Die Day features Vintage Ornaments.
A four piece die set, three different designs of baubles and
the classic hook/topper.
The approximate measurements are:
Ornament 1: 2.10 x 2.30 in
Ornament 2: 2.00 x 2.80 in
Ornament 3: 2.00 x 3.00 in
Topper: 0.80 x 0.70 in
Ornament 2: 2.00 x 2.80 in
Ornament 3: 2.00 x 3.00 in
Topper: 0.80 x 0.70 in
This is how they look cut/embossed.
I created a white card base.
Affixed a wide panel of decorative paper horizontally
and a strip of green dotted paper vertically.
Tied a piece of twine around before adhering in place onto the card front.
I then used one of the Spellbinders sentiment stamps for a bold message.
I die cut one bauble design from red foil card and the other from silver.
Mini Poinsettia from 5 x 7 Holly Frame die set.
Little leaves from Homespun die set.
Added a strip of candy stripe paper and positioned the baubles.
Love the embossing depth with foil card.
Vintage Ornaments is available to purchase from your Spellbinders
retailer now.

Morning Christine, Good Luck with the decorating of Elliott's room, I am guilty of 'putting off' finishing my decorating, I did so much decorating at the end of last year, five rooms one after the other, that I was 'decorated out' haha, I just have the orangerie to finish, I have papered half the room, but need to finish painting off the rest, but 'other things' keep getting in the way hahaha.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

ReplyDeleteHi Christine,
ReplyDeleteLove the card today but I have to admit that more than the dies, I just love the sentiment!! I really don't envy you having to decorate. I recently did my loungeroom. I gave myself a weekend to get it all done as the new carpet was arriving on the Monday. Little did I know that all the paint and plaster on one wall was going to flake off before I'd even started!! It would have ended up quicker to put wallpaper over everything, even though I've only done that once before in my life lol.
I need to try and get the hall done before Christmas. Of course I'm using two things as excuses, one is the fact that I've got a 16 week old kitten who is part whirlwind rushing about the place and the second is that the hall has the loft hatch in it, I live in a bungalow, and it's going to make everything so cold having to keep the hatch off until the paint has dried. Luckily I've got paint that doesn't need an undercoat and covers in one coat, so with any luck it won't take too long. It's also water base gloss so will dry faster with less smell...now if only I can get myself motivated to start. I think it's those 5 doors that will all need to be painted that are really stopping me...maybe I'll do the walls, ceiling and skirting and then leave the actual doors as I've got the idea that I want each one painted a different bright colour lol.
Bejay xx
Lovely set of dies Good luck with the decorating
