Friday Die Day

Hello friends

 

This week's Friday Die Day is featuring Joyeux Noel -

a two piece die set designed by Stacey Caron for Spellbinders.

 

It consists of an ornate frame with shell-like edges

and a sentiment insert.

The approximate measurements are:

 

Frame: 5.35 x 3.10 in
Insert: 2.90 x 1.40 in

 

This is what it looks like cut/embossed.

 

 

I wanted to keep the die cut as the main feature so my card base is

plain with decorative paper to bottom section and a

strip of silver ribbon.

 

Mounted the frame and insert with foam pads for dimension.

 

Just added a tiny min poinsettia for some colour.

I had some difficulties photographing this on a dull wet day and mirror card

is always a challenge but hopefully you can see it ok.

 

The embossed 'Joyeux Noel' is more pronounced in real life too.

Tomorrow I will be at The Art of Craft in Farnborough.

It's a full workshop in the morning but I'll be demoing in the afternoon
