Fog, New Year Wishes and a Sticky Note Holder!

Hello friends

New Year's Eve!

I've still got festive crafty offerings for you!
I managed to take a few photos when it wasn't foggy.
It has been pea soupers nearly every day.
This was the view from my city office window yesterday morning.

I'm on the 12th floor and normally I can see Tower Bridge!

Back to craft...
Today it is a golden sticky note holder featuring Victorian Sapphire dies
available from Create and Craft.
I've also used Layered Poinsettia
(the big brother of Mini Poinsettia!)
These are so simple to make and super little gifts for friends and/or work colleagues.

I'm so attached to mirror card at the moment, spent years not using it and now
keep delving into the gold and silver.
I hadn't realised how many different golds there are - some really bright and yellow,
I think I prefer the more subtle gold.
Silver is safe...not many different shades of that!

I'm looking forward to a quiet evening at home with the boys,
pets, Prosecco and takeaway!
Hoping there isn't too many fireworks although luckily Bella doesn't take
too much notice.

It remains for me to wish you all a fantastic New Year -
let it be creative, healthy and happy.
I'll raise a glass to you all at midnight...I'm actually going to stay awake!

Take care friends.

Friday Die Day...how many?

Hello friends

It's Friday Die Day...now how many times have I typed that?
I thought this Friday on New Year's Eve-Eve I would find out.
I started Friday Die Day on Friday 13 April 2012 - so over 4 years ago and
not far off of 5 years.  It started on my original blog
I've missed a few but that's still a lot of FDD posts -
I think it is the region of 250!

When I first started I actually said 'on certain Fridays' but realised it
was proving popular by week 2, so made it every Friday.

It wouldn't be popular if it wasn't for YOU - a big thank you
for stopping by, having a look and especially for commenting -
I really enjoy reading them.

I always try to bring a mix of Spellbinders dies, styles, colours etc but you've probably
come to know that I go through phases - the white phase,
the kraft card phase, the mini poinsettia phase!

Here is just a small collection of some of my favourites.

Friday Die Day will continue, as will Charity Kits and the plan is
videos...I've threatened it so often but I've got Elliott back on the case
looking up cameras, microphones and all sorts.  About time I got a proper
You Tube channel going.

So on the verge of a New Year - are you celebrating?
I'm thinking PJ's and a Chinese takeaway tomorrow night- classy!.

Take care friends.

Fancy a workshop kit?

Hello friends

I mentioned recently that I had discovered that I had workshops
kits left over from various classes.
Well...I discovered I have more!

Today rounding them up and offering them to you,
the kits have all the components - just add adhesive, everything
is die cut ready to go, similar to the Charity Kits.

First off I have this kit using Labels 56 and
Jubilee Tags.  It also has the gorgeous Anna Griffin paper,
ivory card base, envelope, ivory mat, stamped sentiment,
foam squares and pearls.

Price is £3.50 including postage and packaging and I've placed a PayPal
button below.  Just 5 kits available.

Next up is a pure white kit using Florence Medallion.
Kit contains card base, envelope, white mat, die cuts and gemstones.
Small difference to the photo is that the stamped sentiment will say 'With Love'.
Also you'll need some distress ink or pens/pencils to colour the flowers and leaf set.

Price is £3.00 including postage and packaging and again, PayPal
button below and again, just 5 kits available.
Now just 1!

using Tuscany Strip - the details are here and there's just one left!

Back to city job today, wow that came around quickly!

Dotty and Festive

Hello friends

I do enjoy these days between Christmas and New Year,
It somehow feels absolutely fine to stay in your PJ's until midday!

I'm still finding Christmas cards to share with you, not ready to let
Christmas go just yet.
This is one of my favourites featuring the Victorian Sapphire dies
available from Create and Craft.
Again I've gone for shadowing - this time with silver foil card.
Positioned two of the lovely frames, raised up the middle die cut
(a fall out piece) and placed mini poinsettias and leaves on top.

Typed and printed sentiment across the middle,
a die cut again using one of the Victorian Sapphire dies.

Now if I could lay my hands on lots of this dotty paper I'm actually
tempted to batch make this card ready for next Christmas...
nice thought - not sure it will come to fruition!

Thank you for all your kind messages regarding Elliott -
he's definitely on the mend, I know this because he's glued to his computer
but he has told me he's really been adding more
items to the Winter Sale on the website, including reducing
3D stamps - so I've let him off! :)

Take care friends - I'm back tomorrow.

Festive Frivolities

Hello friends

So how was it?
I do hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas and Boxing Day.
Mine was lovely - so much delicious food -
this pretty much sums it up...!

This is my clan Christmas Day at my Mum and Dad's home.
We let my mum loose with a selfie stick - so funny.
She actually did very well, this photo is nearly straight.

There is a very important person missing - Elliott,
just a day or two before Christmas he came down with a horrible
sickness bug :( Glad to report he is now on the mend and we are going
to do a Christmas Day all over  - yes another round of calories!

Now to my crafty offering - I still have Christmas cards to share with you so
I had better get those in quick!
This one features Graceful Brackets - one of the Becca Feeken border
dies available from Create and Craft.
Shadowed with gold mirror card and the holly leaves and berries
is Jolly Holly - a new Christmas Die D-Lite for this year.
I took the photo one very frosty morning - looks very appropriate.

Today back in my cabin for a little bit to meet some deadlines
and then back home for leftovers - I do love that, the cold meat, pickles etc.

Take care friends and now it's countdown to New Year!

On this Christmas Eve...

Hello friends

It's Christmas Eve!
Now that came around way too quickly didn't it?

Today's card is one of my favourites - it features a couple of the
Spellbinders Sapphire Victorian dies available from Create and Craft.
It's a square die turned to a diamond shape, a silver tag overlayed
with a craft sentiment.

I don't know what I'm going to do when Christmas is over and I can
no longer adorn everything with mini poinsettias!
But thinking about it....I could die cut them in other colours as mini flowers!
You have been warned! ;)

Today is a stay at home day, buffet of food goodies this evening and
indulging in a glass or two.

It remains for me to wish you a wonderful Christmas,
eat, drink and definitely be merry!
I also hope Santa is kind and brings you some lovely crafty goodies.

I'll be blogging again after Boxing Day.

Take care friends.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day is featuring a Die D-Lite -
It's a really pretty two piece die set with gorgeous swirl pierced detail.

The approximate sizes are:

1: 1.25 x 1.25 in
2: 2.25 x 2.875 in

This is how it looks cut/embossed.

My card base is white with patterned neutral paper.

For my card design I've cut two Pierced Delights,
one from white and one from silver mirror card.
Sliced the mirror die cut in half and inserted it behind to act as a shadow.

Affixed with foam pads to card front.

Circular sentiment embellishment and yes...a mini poinsettia
for final detail!

Crisp, white and festive.

Wishing I had discovered this design a while ago, I may even
have made a batch!

Today a morning of work at my city job and then let the
Christmas festivities commence.
I may even ice the Christmas cake...!

Take care friends, I'm back tomorrow.

Graceful Sweet Words

Hello friends

Today's crafty offering is a card using one of Becca Feeken's border dies -
Graceful Sweet Words.  Not specifically a Christmas card but
with the addition of the red Blooms One it could be.

I split the die cut vertically to insert the decorative paper insert,
another little technique I've adopted quite a lot recently.

I used the exact same method with this card using Tuscany Strip.

A card design I often use at workshops and talking of those.. I've discovered
I have workshops kits left over from various events so
popping a PayPal button below - just 7 available.

Price is £3.00 and that includes postage and packaging - bargain!

£3.00

The kits have all the components to make a thank you card ideal for after
Christmas - (card, envelope, die cuts -
Tuscany Strip, Leaf and Blooms One), patterned paper strip,
stamped tag and black pearl) - just add adhesive.
A quick make while you enjoy your Christmas goodies.

Take care friends - city job for me today and tomorrow, please stop by
tomorrow for Friday Die Day.

December's Winning Ticket - is it you?

Hello friends

This month's kit was again an amazing fast sell out,
so many thanks to those who purchased.

I think we all love a bit of Anna Griffin paper, it is super quality
and gorgeous designs.  I think I should feature more of her paper in kits...

Now to the important bit - who has the winning ticket?
Rummage please and if you are number 58 - congratulations!

Please drop me an email with your address to
creativity-continues@outlook.com

A festive goodie bag will be on its way to you - it may even reach you before
the big day, I'll do my best but if not it will be a nice surprise after Chrimbo.

Take care friends and again, that you for all your support with the
Charity kits - they are continuing.

Victorian and Festive

Hello friends

So nice to read all your comments yesterday,
it appears it is entirely normal for your kids to never really leave home...
I'm really quite happy about that.

Today's card is using dies from the new Sapphire Victorian range
available at Create and Craft.
Simply two tags (one cut from ivory card and one from gold mirror card)
crossed over and the addition of holly leaves and mini poinsettia.

Musical background paper (apologies, not sure where it is from - scrapbox find)
is always perfect for festive cards.

If you caught any of my shows you may have heard me mention that I type
nearly all my sentiments, I produce sheets of them and die cut them as I need them.
I play around with the fonts available on my computer,
no technical downloading of new ones!

Not long now until the big day,
I have a fridge full of goodies that we cannot eat just yet -
typically Christmas!

Take care friends and if you have a moment look out for that boy
of mine...he seems to be selling off a lot of stock at silly prices

Graceful Fans

Hello friends

Today's card features Becca's border dies - Graceful Fans.
It really is a clean and simple card.
Using the scallop border and inset die to create the right hand edge
of my card and then adding four mini poinsettias
and tiny leaves.

Mini gemstones to the middle of my flowers and
a stamped sentiment - job done!

Becca's border dies are available at Create and Craft,
they are stunning designs and when teamed with the Frame Maker - perfect!

I have made my Christmas cake...finally!
It's not going to have much time to be 'alcohol-ed' before the big day
so I've decided that the only answer is to have a large drink
each time I eat a slice of cake!   Logical.

There's only one outstanding stocking to fill and that's Bella's,
it is hidden away right now but she's suspicious.
There was one parcel under the tree for her and she spent evenings
staring at it so had to relent!

Today is a trip to Lakeside Ikea...hoping it will be less quiet on
a Monday.  My eldest son is back to stay for a while, I had emptied his room
so now we need to re-furnish it!
I had thought once your kids left home they couldn't come back...
silly me!  Love him really.

Take care friends and here's to the countdown...
