Hello friends
Well that was a lovely weekend away.
Saturday I was demoing at Emerald Crafts in Lyndhurst,
Oliver - the shop owner was very welcoming,
made a smashing cup of tea too!
The shop is crammed (and I mean crammed!) to the rafters with
craft goodies - dies, stamps, papers, knitting wool, art equipment...
and more and more!
When I finished for the day Mum and I took a little look around Lyndhurst,
it's a lovely village with lots of gift shops.
We found a nice pub/restaurant for dinner and then back to our hotel.
No late night raves and clubbing for us! ;)
Our hotel overlooked this gorgeous thatched cottage -
this is my idea of heaven...must start doing the lottery again.
The following day we took a trip to Lymington, another picturesque village.
And look what I espied... no escape from that boy of mine!
Before we headed home we took a trip into the New Forest,
it was wonderful and exactly as I remembered it as a child,
now that doesn't happy very often when you revisit a place!
It was beginning to look very Autumnal.
Hoping to return next year to demo - it would be good to go in the
Summer or Spring, although I think I would love the New Forest whatever the season.
I hope you all had a great weekend, I will be back tomorrow with crafty stuff!
Take care friends.
Good morning Christine

ReplyDeleteHello Christine
ReplyDeleteLovely when things stay the same as you remember them!
Thing is ....new blood comes in ,and changes everything ,its happening in Bristol all the time! .Historic things are considered old!!! I could go on ...but I suppose I must 'move with the times' !
Anyway after my rant, pleased you enjoyed your weekend Christine!
Take care

Hello Christine,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your trip down memory lane, the photos are great!! Glad your demonstrations were successful, but you never doubted that they would be did you? The lottery odds are now 45 million to 1. They said it would be easier to become a Saint than win the Lottery!!! I still try though.

Glad you enjoyed Saturday and the rest of your weekend. I agree that shop is crammed to the rafters and I am sure when you look around there are things you miss. It's like an Alladins Cave. Must go back there again. Felt rushed last time as was on trip for a few days to Bournemouth with a friend so couldn't spend as long as I would have liked. New Forest is lovely as well anytime of the year.
ReplyDeleteHi Christine. You sound as if you and your mum had a wonderful weekend. The thatched cottage is a dream home to me too and the photos of the New Forest are lovely.
ReplyDeleteBye for now.
