Hello friends
Oh I'm in love with the Woodland Collection!
I was in a right dither as to which die to go for first but the
Woodland Deer won by a whisker.
I decided to create a festive tag...yes I'm feeding that tag addiction!
The deer's antlers are a separate die so you can decide whether to use these are not.
So assuming my deer is a reindeer here's some trivia...
male reindeer shed their antlers in the winter whereas female reindeer
shed theirs in the summer, so this means all of Santa's reindeer were girls!
The backing paper for my tag is Studio Light - Botanical Garden
and I've also used Phrase Set Two for the 'For You'
cut from gold mirror card. Those gorgeous little poinsettias are from
5 x 7 Holly Decorative Frame
(that boy of mine informs me this die will be back in stock soon).
Also thinking the deer would look lovely cut from beige card and inked.
Woodland Deer is available on the website here,
it's a pre-order but again - that boy of mine has assured me
they on are on their way and should be arriving within days.
Perhaps they are flying...
Take care friends - enjoy your weekend.
So pretty-another project that would use up scraps from the bit box.

Good morning Christine
ReplyDeleteOh I love these dies too especially the fox and the owl but the leaves are brilliant too. You could really go to town creating a beautiful woodland scene. I think the deer would also look great cut from kraft card and a little gilding wax rubbed over the edges and embossed areas.
Enjoy your Saturday. I need to spend some time in my craft room today so the housewrok is going on the back burner - what a shame!
Take care
Lesley

Good morning Christine a super creation linked with a fact I didn't know but hey if there is a deadline I think that's where the female is superior as we are used to juggling things to get them done! Have a good weekend best wishes Jackie x

Hi Christine, I love it !! I love the expression on the reindeer face, it is gorgeous. Your guide to reindeer antlers was quite disconcerting to me, how can I possibly think that Rudolph was in fact a 'girl', perhaps her name had been shortened from 'Rudolphina' hahaha.
ReplyDeleteLots of love from Patricia xx

Ah, how cute is this Christine. Lovely dear and made into a lovely tag.
ReplyDeleteI can't get my head around Rudolph being a girl. Perhaps Santa magiced the antlers off for the night so they wouldn't get in the way.

Hi Christine,
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card! When I first saw the new dies I thought that the owl and the fox were cute
but then the deer was added to my cute list and on it went until I just had to admit to myself
that I love ALL the new woodland series lol. Looks like I'm going to have to start saving my pennies
to get them all. I try not to buy dedicated Christmas dies as I want to be able to use them year round, so
these would fit the bill
