Friday Die Day

Hello friends

Grhhh...that's the sound I make when my city commute takes ages!
Thank you for all your kind wishes but I'm afraid it is
still taking at least 2 hours there and back, road-works, road closures and
just the sheer volume of vehicles trying to get into the city.
I am very thankful for audio books, it certainly helps pass the time.

Now to something nicer.
This week's Friday Die Day is Style Nouille Tags designed by Stacey Caron
for Spellbinders.
Six dies in total as you have the outer shape as well as the inner.

The approximate measurements are:

Decorative Tag 3.65 x 1.45 in
Insert 2.00 x 0.75 in
Oval Tag 2.90 x 1.70 in
Inset 1.75 x 0.85 in
Round Tag 2.50 x 2.20 in
Insert 1.05 x 1.05 in

This is how they look cut/embossed.

For my card I selected a piece of patterned paper (Craftwork Cards)
and used the Decorative Tag to cut an aperture.

I mounted this onto my card base with Crafty Foam Tape.

I then used the same die to die cut with mirror card and inserted this flat
into the aperture.

I also cut the inset of this die from mirror card, affixed with foam pads.
Simply decorated with a typed and die cut sentiment and ...
oh yes a little flower (mini poinsettia) and leaf set!

Style Nouille Tags is a lovely set, I cannot decide which out of the
three tag designs I prefer - I like them all!

Do we all have nice plans for the weekend?
My best advice is to keep warm...I've heard the temperature is dropping.
I'm heading up to Milton Keynes to see my crafty gang,
I'm not actually taking anything papercraft with me, I'm going down the
sewing route, I'll share with you soon.

Take care friends - have a brilliant weekend.

  4. Morning Christine, Oh dear !! I see your travelling chaos continued !! Just be thankful that you don't have to do the journey 'every' day haha, it sounds horrendous.
A great technique with the aperture and affixing a co-ordinating die cut, I'm loving the background paper too.
Enjoy your weekend, I'm getting on with my hubby's Birthday card which is on 14th Feb (Valentine's Day too) and a Friend's card for the 15th Feb. I would love a relaxing weekend as the past few weekends have been very busy.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
