Friday Die Day

Hello friends

Today's Friday Die Day is a little different for me,
it features one of the new dies by Spellbinders designer Seth Apter -
Robo Star.  Seth has brought an entire line of dies that fall within
the mixed media category - you can see his style and projects
on his blog The Altered Page.

The Robo Star set consists of three dies.

This is how they look cut/embossed.
I've used a mix of kraft, brown and black cardstock.

I liked the negative from the largest star so backed that with some red
spotty paper and mounted it onto black cardstock.

Flicked some drops of silver - this is my attempt at being messy!

I then attached the large star at an angle and tied a charm with black twine.

Attached the further stars and affixed to the front of a kraft bag.
Added a couple of silver stars too.

These are perfect dies for projects and cards for men.

These dies are available to pre-order arriving very soon,
there are many designs including Splatter Proof

Drip Drop

I'm off to Bury St Edmunds tomorrow - Keep on Crafting
to teach a Seth Apter workshop - photos to follow.
Take care friends and have a lovely weekend.

I suppose every shape has its place, but these are not sitting comfortably in mine. I do try with new things but I just can't this time.... even though your work is lovely!
    Take care

  16. Hi Christine, The way you've used the positive and negative on your card looks great a long with your addition of silver splatters! When all put together is very effective. x
