Hello friends
Lovely response to the free postage and packing on the website,
just to confirm it is permanent!
We appreciate it makes a big difference when ordering a smaller item
or perhaps one of the pre-loved dies.
Today I'm sharing a project using Goassamer Knot.
A four piece die set with a stylish ironwork design.
The outer border dies are very handy on their own and of course
you can use the inset dies on their own to create beautiful windows.
Warning: my project is festive!
I used the smaller rectangles in the set to create two panels.
A typed and die cut sentiment and flowers are from Swallow and Heart.
The little leaves (I use these a lot!) are from Homespun.
Gossamer Knot is available on the website here.
Backed with silver mirror card really highlights that ironwork design.
Now added to the website is Festive Sentiment Sheets.
Two A4 printed sentiment sheets. One white linen and one ivory linen
cardstock 255gsm. Each sheet has a total of 14 festive sentiments
in a variety of fonts. A total of 28 sentiments,
perfect for die cutting/trimming to size and adding to your projects.
In other news: thank you for all your kind wishes for Elliott's
first day of University. He loved it. Phew!
He can commute from home as it is Greenwich, South London,
not far from us at all if there wasn't traffic!
This is a true milestone in our family in more ways than one,
extremely proud of him.
Day 6
This was my travel day - flying from Chicago to Iowa.
I checked out of the second hotel I was staying in.
The Hilton Garden Inn's are wonderful hotels and if you book online in advance
through Trip Advisor or Expedia they are very reasonable.
My last food excursion in Chicago was J Alexander's.
Amazing burgers!
The decor is stylish and the air con is fantastic!
I landed in Iowa late in the evening and my friend Kim collected me from the airport.
Kim used to be the Education Director at Spellbinders. I've known her
for quite a few years now and we always used to meet up at the UK
trade shows and at Create and Craft.
To save driving a few hours to Kim's home we stayed the night at Kim's sister's house.
This is Tami and her adorable dog.
(Bella you nearly had a friend, I was so tempted to bring this gorgeous pup home -
look at that tongue!)
Also that night Kim presented me with a beautiful gift.
She had made a special book/journal for me to complete during my stay in Iowa.
This has lots of labelled and embellished pages and I intend to share these
with you, I've added more and of course, some die cuts!
When I went to bed that night I hadn't seen Iowa in daylight -
I had no idea that the scenery would be incredible.
If you've ever seen the movie Field of Dreams with Kevin Costner it was based
on the book by W P Kinsella and the famous quote is...
It is spot on - heaven indeed!
Take care friends, I'm back tomorrow with Hump Day Giveaway...
(yes it is back!) and my next holiday installment.
