That Other Boy of Mine!

Hello friends

I've gone all scrapbook pages today!
On one of my recent Craft Channel shows I chose to make a scrapbook page,
I thought it would be a nice change to cards.
I chose a geometric design to make two pages - exactly the same design
but it looks so different just by switching the papers.
So here is Mitchell (that other boy of mine!) with a predominantly black
and white page with a little bit of colour.
I used a square die from Garden Party for the background but you could
The dies are Enhanced Pennant for the banner.
Rosette Blooms and Build A Tag.
And here is the same page featuring my niece.
Again Enhanced Pennant, I've added a Pretty Petal C to the middle.

I do love getting my teeth into a scrapbook page,
not literally you understand...that would be chocolate!

Yesterday I tried something new...contact lenses!
I'm typing this without the aid of glasses so fingers crossed it works out okay.
I've always felt a bit squeamish about putting things in my eyes but I was so fed
up of constantly wearing my glasses on my head, losing them and generally
rooting around for them in the bottom of my handbag.
So I'm embarking on something new and so far so good, I stepped out of the opticians
and marveled that I could read the Chinese takeaway menu next door -
it's the little things that really make a difference to me ...like food!

Take care friends - hope your week is going well.

  1. Hi Christine
Your Pages look so different , both equally nice i love the flowers .
Hope you get on well with the Contact Lenses , i bet the boys will be pleased to not having to constantly help to find where Mum has put her glasses, { my hubby is always losing his ,and it does my head in when we can't find them , one afternoon we searched for over an hour , it was only when i went to put some rubbish in the bin outside i noticed them sitting on top , "oh i remember now said hubby, i put them in my top pocket, they must have fell out when i leaned over to push the rubbish down " grrrrr.
Hope you have a good day.

  2. Morning Christine, Wow, I love these layouts, the colours and the patterns are fabulous. I have vowed for two years running now, that I would start my scrapbooking, and sad to say that I still haven't started yet !!
I hope you get on well with your contact lenses, I'm fed up with trying to tighten up my glasses, I got rimless ones this time which makes them lighter, but they will keep loosening and I have to keep going back to opticians to get them tightened, I have now taken to using a thin tipped knife for the screw ones, and my finger nails for the others hahaha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  4. I really like your scrapbook pages today Christine, amazing how they can look using different papers.
Sounds like the changeover to lenses has been easy for you, congratulations.
Something you don't see anymore now they make soft lenses is lots of people on their hands and knees, tapping the floor looking for a lens that had popped out! I remember this often happening in the office where I worked. I was always worried I'd tread on it!
    Enjoy your day.

  13. Hi Christine,
Sorry, I've been missing for a few days but am feeling much better now. I have to say that the scrapbook pages are fab, I enjoyed seeing you do the one of your niece on TV, and it looks even better here!
Good luck with the contact lenses. I wore them in the 1970's until the mid 1980's until glasses were better for me due to needing glasses for reading, as well as distance. Funny thing is that I take my glasses off to read and craft!! I think the biggest thing I noticed when I first started using them, was when I went outside and felt the wind and, when it was raining, the rain on my eyelids!!!
